Meeting CMT!

Last week Wednesday and Thursday I had the opportunity to travel to Nashville, TN. Since October 17th, CMT has been flying about five contestants to their studio to do taping and photos. They will continue this until Friday.

I had the opportunity to travel with Ruth and it was a fantastic time. CMT treated us like we really are queens. Wednesday evening a stretch limo picked all five of us, and our travel companions, up from our hotel and took us to the best restaurant in downtown Nashville. It is called, The Palm. It was there that I had one of the best meals ever! Maui Maui…mmm!!

While we were there, we had the opportunity to meet with a reporter from the Tennessian newspaper. He asked us several questions from where we grew up, what was special about our state, to if we were excited for Miss America and what we thought about not knowing were we are going. What was especially nice about the evening was that out of the four additional girls there, I had already met Diana, Miss Connecticut, and Stacey, Miss Missouri. It served almost as a reunion for us (we met at the Outstanding Teen pageant in Florida in late August). The other two contestants that were there were Megan, Miss Maine and Nikki, Miss South Dakota. Everyone was extremely nice.

Thursday was the day of actually business. In the morning I had about a 40-minute interview with CMT, followed by a photo shoot, and a radio interview. The Miss America pageant will be an exciting one this year, I cannot wait. CMT is doing everything in their power to put on a good show. Everyone needs to stay tuned to CMT on January 21, 2006!
