Trip to Wisconsin Dells

This morning started off great with an interview on Fox 6 News. I was able to relive some experiences from state week, as well as share my mission as Miss Wisconsin.

From the Milwaukee area, I traveled to Wisconsin Dells to the Wisconsin American Coed Pageant to be a guest performer and speaker. I was very proud of the young ladies today, as they all did a phenomenal job. I would like to wish each of them the best of luck as they compete for their National titles in November in Orlando, Florida.

While I was there, I was able to share my mission with them, as I embark on my new journey throughout the State and even sold quite a few of my CD's, "Keys to a Cure," while there. Today I encountered a young girl who only reassured me of what my mission is over this next year. Seven-year-old Abby is a type-one diabetic. After hearing some of her stories I am even more driven to continue my fight to find a cure for diabetes, so that Abby, in addition to the millions who suffer, will one day see a cure.

Oconto Golf Outing

I had the pleasure of spending Saturday in the small town of Oconto. They welcomed me with open arms. The weather cooperated perfectly. I spent the afternoon sitting on hole number four of the golf course, selling raffle tickets and mingling with the golfers. However, at times Becky and I thought that we were baking under the canopy! But we were not complaining it was terrific.

The golf outing was for a great cause and I was honored to be a part of it. All of the funds were donated to the Oconto Humane Society. I look forward to future visits to Oconto. Although it has only been two weeks on my journey, but I have met incredible individuals from around the state. I can only imagine of what lies ahead.

Miss Wisconsin Homecoming

Are you busy on July 16th? Then come to New Berlin Eisenhower for the Miss Wisconsin Homecoming. Here I will be crowning Lisa Nelson who will be filling my role as the new Miss New Berlin. The event begins at 11:00 and will run for roughly an hour. I will also be sharing some experiences that I look forward to as Miss Wisconsin as well as my goals during my year of service to our state. I hope you will come and join me at this exciting event.

The Location again is the New Berlin Eisenhower High School Auditorium at 4333 South Sunnyslope road. Hope to see you there!

German Fest

Mark your Calendars! Come with me to celebrate at German Fest! What is a better way to make a grand entrance than helping raise funds for a good cause? On July 29th come to the German Fest north entrance. This is where the American Diabetes Association will have registration information for the walk/run. Awards will be given out, you get free admission to German Fest, and at the same time you are raising funds to one day help find a cure for diabetes.

Miss Wisconsin Visits Wausau

Hello everyone! Thanks for visiting my website! Yesterday I had the opportunity to travel to Wausau. It was a wonderful experience and I met some great individuals. First, I was interviewed on the Channel 7 news. Here I was able to discuss my platform as well as the music CD, “Keys to a Cure,” that I created to raise funds for the American Diabetes Association. In addition, I was also able to converse about how I became involved with the Miss America program, what it was like during state week, and my goals as Miss Wisconsin. It was an honor to be on their show and I had a fantastic time.

From Channel 7 News, I traveled to the Midwest Communication Center where I spoke with Pat Schneider, a radio show host in the Wausau area. With Pat, I shared again some of the same stories I had earlier with Channel 7. Although here, I was able to express some of my feelings regarding the Miss America pageant.
Overall, I had a wonderful time in Wausau and I would like to thank them for welcoming me to their town.
